S3 E4: Popobawa
This time, on Counting Cryptids:
We discuss mass hysteria, competitive tag, and a shape-shifting bat demon known as the Popobawa. Every few years this creature terrorizes the community, attacking the residence one house at a time. The attacks range from physical abuse, to poltergeist adjacent behavior, to more severe attacks. - TRIGGER WARNING - There is some talk of sexual assault in this episode. What is the a bat-winged, shape-shifting, cyclops demon terrorizing the island of Pemba? A rogue djinn set loose by an angry sheikh? Mass hysteria cause by toxins in the food? Or could it possibly be political propaganda pushed past the point of no return? Join us Cryptid Counters, as we tiptoe our way through another episode of Counting Cryptids. - I think we forgot to mention that Shawn requested this one on Discord!

S3 E3: Tikbalang
This time, on Counting Cryptids:
We discuss a strange reverse centaur creature known as the Tikbalang. This walking hunk of Filipinos horse-face has a literal horse face, and the body of a VERY well sculpted man. This creature has a few different personalities, depending on the region, some of which it is portrayed mostly as a nuisance, playing tricks on travelers, but other tales speak of a creature who will stomp its victims to death! Thankfully there are a number of very simple ways to protect yourself from this giant, cigar smoking, forest being. Join us Cryptid Counters, as we stomp our way through another episode of Counting Cryptids.

S3 E2: Black-eyed Children
This time, on Counting Cryptids:
We dip our toes into a slightly more paranormal topic, the back-eyed children phenomena. As the name suggests, it is just children, that have black eyes. The thing of it is, that it is their entire eye that is black, not just the iris itself. On top of their slightly demonic appearance, these beings show up at strange times, behaving oddly, and then leave just as abruptly as they came. Luckily, since they are children after all, they need your permission to come in and fuck with you, so as long as you have a heart of stone and can kick the kids out into a snow storm, you should be fine. Are these seriously spooky stories simply just adults being weirded out by children? Or is there something more otherworldly at play? Join us Cryptid Counters, as we slur our way through another episode of Counting Cryptids.

S3 E1: The Yeti
This time, on Counting Cryptids:
We begin the season horrifically off topic before kicking things off with some subjectively big feet. If somehow you've never heard of the abominable snowman, its a snowy Sasquatch. A hairy, 8 foot tall, bipedal hominid, living on the slopes of the Himalayan mountains. Many sightings seem quite modest when compared to some of the extraordinary Bigfoot stories we all know and love, leaving some of its credibility intact. So join us Cryptid Counters, as we step down the slippery road of the Yeti on another episode of Counting Cryptids. We also talk shit about America's favorite pass time.

S2 E24: Cryptid Games: Two Truths & a Lie
This time, on Counting Cryptids:
Our hosts go head to head, testing their cryptozoological knowledge in the second installment of Cryptid Games™. Jacob will close out the season by describing three cryptids, two of which are "real" cryptids, the other is entirely fabricated from the inner machinations of his mind. After all of the information is presented, Connor will have to guess which one of the cryptids Jacob made up (the lie). We also discuss the upcoming annual tournament a bit, but more on that later. If you play along from home, be sure to let us know how you did over on social media! We'll be back January 2020, but until then, Stay Grey.

S2 E23: Slide-Rock Bolter
This time, on Counting Cryptids:
We discuss avalanches, Paul Bunyan, and the worst tourist trap of all time, the Slide-Rock Bolter. The SRB is a massive creature allegedly inhabits the mountains of Colorado, waiting on steep slopes for unsuspecting tourists to venture below. With the help of loose snow, gravity, and lubricating saliva, the SRB rockets down the mountain, crashing down on its victim(s). The SRB is said to gain enough speed on its way down, that its momentum will carry it up all the way up the next mountain, where it grabs hold, awaiting its next victim. While spotting a whale sized creature perched atop a mountain may seem like an easy task, the lack of sightings are eye opening to say the least. So join us Cryptid Counters, as we fish around this whale of a tale for yet another episode of Counting Cryptids.

S2 E22: Ebu Gogo - Live Episode

Wednesday Nov 27, 2019
S2 E22: Ebu Gogo
This time, on Counting Cryptids:
We stumble through horrible pronunciations, debate the greater of clocks and knockers, and ramble about some little hairy dudes. The Ebu gogo are cave dwelling bipedal humanoid creatures standing just under five feet tall, with broad faces, resembling that of a monkey. Stories of these creatures emerged several hundred years ago telling of their insatiable hunger, tremendous greed, and fondness for long pig (human flesh). While the Ebu Gogo haven't been sighted for quite some time, the region is littered with reports of small, hairy, humanoid creatures that could be related. To further validate the legend of the Ebu Gogo, in 2003 remains of an individual who would have stood about 3 feet 7 inches in height were discovered at Liang Bua on the island of Flores in Indonesia, the same area the Ebu Gogo was said to inhabit. So put on you finest palm fiber fashioned clothing, its time for another episode of Counting Cryptids.
